Organization’s Objective

Our goal is to expand the base of people in the country supporting significant health care reform - affordable health care for all people. People do not make decisions on facts, but rather on personal values and narratives. If the facts conflict with personal values, people disregard the facts. We have all spewed facts for years with little benefit. We believe we need to understand the values that drive people, the messages that connect to them, and the policies that can be used in public debates to elevate values supporting health reform. We know that people hold conflicting values and we need to strengthen, support and make actionable those values that bring us together as a community. We need to raise awareness and move people to action to support change. We believe that any significant movement for change will require both a grass roots strategy and an inside the beltway strategy that are coordinated. We want to ensure that all major parties are going the same direction.
