About Oregon League of Conservation Voters

Leadership

Jonathan Poisner

Executive Director

Prior to taking the helm at OLCV in 1997, Jonathan worked as regional staff for the Sierra Club, as a writer, an Adjunct Law Professor, a legal research fellow, and a lawyer. He currently serves on the board of directors of the League of Conservation Voters and previously served as board co-chair of the Federation of State Conservation Voter Leagues.

Organization’s Objective

Without aggressive political action by environmentally concerned citizens, Oregon will elect city, county, legislative, and statewide leaders who don't share environmental values. And once elected, even well-meaning individuals will flounder on environmental issues if not aggressively lobbied and held accountable by an environmental community that coordinates in setting priorities and in grassroots action.
