Organization’s Objective
UHCAN Ohio is working to address the growing lack of access to affordable, adequate health care for Ohioans. Of the 1.3 million uninsured Ohioans, most are adults, 80% are in working families, 1/3 have incomes below the federal poverty level, 1/3 have incomes between 101-200% of poverty level. Fewer than half of small businesses in Ohio now provide health coverage to their employees. We do not offer public coverage to low-income,non-disabled adults without dependents.
