Organization’s Objective

Despite serving as the largest new force in both progressive media and progressive activism, the progressive, political blogosphere operates on a shoestring budget. Even with a combined national audience of three million progressive activists every day, many prominent national bloggers are broke and without health care. Local bloggers receive virtually no monetary or other resource compensation for their essential work in developing local progressive media and activist communities. Apart from the people who make the blogosphere happen, the many great ideas come from this medium have little in the way of institutional support to actually get off the ground. Through a series of targeted research, action and microgrants, BlogPac?s mission is to help provide more sustainable funding for the innovative ideas and people in the progressive blogosphere
