Organization’s Objective

AMWA is the oldest and largest association for women physicians and medical students in the US. Since 1915, we have been advocates for progressive health issues (including having a policy statement endorsing universal access over 10 years ago) and supporting women medical students and physicians (now we welcome all who are interested in better health care for women in our membership). We want to lend our 5,000 voices to demand access to quality acute and preventive health for all Americans regardless of income, race, ethnicity, citizenship, or geographic location.
