Organization’s Objective

Many social justice organizations do not have the required resources to invest in strategic communications or increased communications capacity for their organization, and many groups do not coordinate their messages. Many activists have not effectively communicated their ideas to the media, politicians, and most importantly, the public. When activists have had success in the media, it has been individually and the field as a whole has not presented a united vision for the future, based on shared values, but rather disconnected, issue-based messages. Additionally, as technology is changing at an increasing rate, these organizations are falling behind in the realm of new media. They also are not benefiting from some of the most up-to-date public opinion research.
