Organization’s Objective

Katherine Harris and Ken Blackwell helped republicans steal the 2000 and 2004 elections by rigging the vote in big and small ways in favor of Republican candidates. Election protection efforts often begin well after the decisions are made that determine who can and cannot vote. Putting pollwatchers at every precinct or filing lawsuits after every election is expensive and has not even begun to mitigate the problem created by Secretaries of State who make it hard for minorities to register to vote, restrict early and absentee balloting, and certify voting machines that have inadequate security measures and a fundamental lack of accountability.
