Organization’s Objective

Progressives need new ideas to compete with conservatives, create a lasting governing majority, and respond to the very different economic, social, and national security challenges of the 21st century. While much work has been done to create new policies and 10-point plans through think tanks and much thinking has taken place on the tactics and strategies needed to win elections, relatively little has been done to create the intellectual grounding, spur the important debates, and bring ideas to those involved in the conversation about the progressive future. This is where Democracy comes in.
