Organization’s Objective

Special-interests influence health care policy, energy policy, and myriad other issues. Too often incumbents vote with the special-interest industries that contribute big money to their election campaigns. MAPLight.org provides the research infrastructure to easily spotlight incumbents who side with corporate donors, rather than with the interests of voters.

In 2008 MAPLight.org will help turn the tables on this money/votes connection, so candidates can “point the finger” at incumbents who put the profits of special-interests before the real interests of their constituents.
